Artists

Behrouz Zindashti

Behrouz Zindashti is a leading modern calligrapher known for his innovative approach. Over the past decade, he has developed a unique style, blending Siyah Mashq with dynamic colors and exploring new artistic forms. Inspired by Jackson Pollock’s Drip Painting, he abandons the brush, layering colors to create spontaneous, unrestrained pictographs. His work pushes aesthetic boundaries, redefining contemporary calligraphy.

Ehsan Garmsiri

Ehsan Garmsiri’s from the Ax Collection draws inspiration from the ancient bronze axes of Lorestan, reimagining them through a contemporary sculptural lens. These powerful forms are not merely archaeological echoes, but deeply symbolic objects transformed into modern expressions of inner conflict and duality.

In each piece, Garmsiri masterfully contrasts sharp, angular elements with curved, fluid lines creating a visual tension that speaks to the eternal struggle between good and evil within the human psyche. This interplay of force and grace, violence and beauty, lends the sculptures an expressive, almost mythological presence.

By revisiting ancient forms and imbuing them with new emotional depth, Garmsiri bridges past and present, tradition and expressionism, inviting viewers to confront the complex layers of human nature etched in metal and time.

Hossein Edalatkhah

Hossein Edalatkhah is a multidisciplinary Iranian artist whose work explores themes of memory, identity, and cultural transformation. His acclaimed series Quarantine Orchids reflects a delicate balance between isolation and resilience, using floral imagery as a metaphor for beauty surviving in confinement. Through painting, sculpture, and mixed media, Edalatkhah creates poetic visual narratives that bridge personal experience with broader cultural reflections.

Masoumeh Abirinia

Masoumeh Abirinia works primarily in painting, with a focus on depicting figures and landscapes, often exploring themes of identity and cultural experience.

Mehdi Movahedi

Mehdi Movahedi is a remarkably talented artist whose mastery of painting and calligraphy has led to the creation of a distinctive body of work centered on ancient Persian robes. Seamlessly blending these richly detailed garments with period-specific objects, Movahedi evokes the elegance and cultural depth of Iran’s past. The robes, intricately crafted with silk and gold threads, serve as both historical reference and artistic expression—celebrating the beauty and symbolism of Persian heritage.

Mina Sabzi

Mina Sabzi’s artworks exist in a striking duality—where abstraction meets landscape, and chaos intertwines with light. Her brushstrokes, meticulously placed yet full of raw energy, conjure apocalyptic vistas that hover between destruction and renewal. In some pieces, a haunting atmosphere dominates, as if capturing the remnants of a world undone. Yet, in others, a golden light breaks through, hinting at hope beyond the ruins. This contrast—between turmoil and tranquility, dissolution and rebirth—makes her work both unsettling and mesmerizing, inviting viewers to navigate the fine line between the end and a new beginning.

Mojtaba Ramzi

Mojtaba Ramzi’s sculptures explore themes such as fate, power, and perception, intertwining ancient symbolism with contemporary concerns. His owl figures, rooted in Iranian visual traditions, symbolize wisdom and silent guardianship. In his Blind Gamblers series, featuring three sets of kings, queens, and jacks from the suits of spades, hearts, and clubs, Ramzi draws inspiration from Sadegh Hedayat’s book of "Blind Owl" to delve into the absurdity of choice and the blindness of destiny. Through these blindfolded figures, he challenges the illusion of control and the unpredictable nature of human fate.

Vahid Ezzatpanah

These intertwined letters of my thoughts,
born from habit and tradition,
break free from routine, rising toward the light
seeking the pure essence of script.

To escape repetition, I became my own inspiration.
In the silence within, beyond the mechanical self,
I found pause in life's constant motion,
embarking on a journey inward
and sat down to witness the outcome.
