Mojtaba Ramzi’s sculptures explore themes such as fate, power, and perception, intertwining ancient symbolism with contemporary concerns. His owl figures, rooted in Iranian visual traditions, symbolize wisdom and silent guardianship. In his Blind Gamblers series, featuring three sets of kings, queens, and jacks from the suits of spades, hearts, and clubs, Ramzi draws inspiration from Sadegh Hedayat’s book of "Blind Owl" to delve into the absurdity of choice and the blindness of destiny. Through these blindfolded figures, he challenges the illusion of control and the unpredictable nature of human fate.
